As I get older, I feel that a daily beauty regime is key for keeping my skin looking and feeling youthful. Of course this comes with a healthy lifestyle, lots of drinking water, and eating the right thing. But using the right products on your skin is also a vital part of maintaining healthy looking skin.
I can’t say I’m a beauty expert by any means, but as the years go by I am finding out what does and doesn’t work for me.
I’ve recently started using Liz Earle’s morning and evening routine in my beauty regime again, and I have to say; I really have noticed a vast difference in my skin’s complexion. Within the first couple of weeks of sticking to this, I noticed my skin was looking more radiant.
Inspired by nature, Liz Earle co-founded this brand with her friend Kim Buckland, a skincare industry expert in 1995. Frustrated with what was available at the time, they were on a quest to find beauty that suited different skin types, and so decided to create their own.
And what a masterpiece they created!
I discovered Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth and Polish Cleanser about 4 years ago, when a highly enthusiastic sales assistant in Boots was boasting about how much this cleanser would change my life. Obviously I was very skeptical, if not a little cynical that this would ever be true. But I decided to give it a go anyway, and boy am I glad I did!
The polish is enriched with cocoa butter to soften, smooth and moisturise the skin; whilst the ingredients of rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus tone, soothe and purify. It deeply cleanses your skin, instantly leaving it feeling hydrated. And I have to say, that for me, it instantly does do the trick. Using the cotton cloth that is provided, you run it under hot water after applying a pump of the cleanser to your dry face and neck, and gently work your way around the face removing the cleanser in motions to leave your skin looking healthy and glowing.
I use this in the morning and evenings, followed by the Instant Skin Tonic Boost for a refreshing and soothing feel.
In the mornings I use the Light Moisturiser for combination/oily skin, as I find my face tends to get rather oily. in the evenings, I have started using a combination/oily moisturiser by Neal’s Yard as a night cream – Yarrow and Comfrey for a more matted complexion. The Yarrow helps balance the skins natural oils, and I have found that completing these steps each day has had a significant impact on my skin.
I’d say both products are affordable luxury, and worth investing in for radiant and healthy complexions. I know I’ll be sticking to these from now on.
